Engineering Tools

FEST3D also has an external set of tools whose objective is to provide small functionalities that are extremely convenient from the engineering point of view.

For instance, the user can get the following advantages using these tools:

	Resonances of rectangular and circular cavities can be computed.
	Quality factor (Q) can be also determined in resonators.
	Losses in rectangular, circular and coaxial waveguides can be calculated.
	Tolerance of Chebyshev band-pass filters can be also obtained.
	Conversion among dB units and relations between some useful parameters (VSWR, return loss, reflection coefficient, ripple) are given too.
	List of standard waveguide numbers (rectangular and circular ones) together with their dimensions and frequency range is also available.
